Properties: Colorless crystals or white powder. Density is 1.28. Melt point is 75-81c. Vapor pressure is 0.23x10-2mpa when temperature is 20c. Flash point higher than 80c. Its water solubility is negligible. While, it is soluble in methanol, acetone, xylene, methylene dichloride and some other solvents.
Toxicity: Moderate
Stability: In neutral or acid aqueous solution, it is stable. But it hydrolyzes very easily when the environment become alkali. It is also stable when exposing under light and heat.
Validity period: 2 years under normal environment.

Usage: Alpha-cypermethpin is a non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. It consists of active isomer of pyrethroid insecticide cypermethrin and is highly effective against wide range of chewing and sucking insects in various crops. It is also active against mosquitoes, flies and other insect pests in public health and animal houses.
